Words we use
- Escrow
- Money held by a licensed bank and released only when agreed conditions are met.
- Tranche
- One staged release of escrowed funds, tied to a construction milestone.
- Title deed
- The legal proof of land ownership. Only freehold deeds are accepted — agreements of sale are rejected.
- EACZ
- Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe — developers must hold a valid licence.
- Readiness score
- 0–100 completeness score across seven evidence pillars.
- BOQ
- Bill of quantities — the itemised construction cost schedule.
- QS
- Quantity surveyor — the independent professional who signs off site work.
- Diligence pack
- The per-project file: title status, inspections, variance, financials and audit trail.
- Arbitration
- Binding out-of-court dispute resolution under Zimbabwean law.
